Healthy activities at the Pettit Center

A world-class facility, the Pettit Center has served as the official US Olympic training site for 22 years. Local gold-medal winners Bonnie Blair and Dan Jansen trained at the Pettit. But it's not just for Olympic athletes.

Trevor will review the facility's many features, including its 443-meter cushioned track and, of course, its world-famous ice oval. Trevor says the Pettit is an extraordinary place in which the youngsters, adults, seniors, and families can enjoy healthy, skating-related activities and programs. But there's more.

The Pettit promotes Olympic values of Fair Play, Perseverance, Respect, and Sportsmanship. Trevor, a victim of bullying as a young man, eventually transitioned into ice skating and was a member of the 2010 US team where he earned a silver medal. He will talk about the many programs that the Pettit offers people of all ages.

Guests are welcome to attend this meeting, held at New Berlin Hills Golf Course, 13175 W. Graham St. Seating is limited. Please contact club president Scott Klaas to reserve your seat. You will find his email link on our home page.
