Sorting for a good cause

Rotarians joined other volunteers to sort and shelve food items at the new Berlin Food Pantry on Saturday, Dec. 7.

Extra help was needed this day due to the massive donation from the residents of the Weatherstone area of New Berlin. They donated an estimated 5,400 lbs. of food, according to Barb Jacob, assistant director at the food pantry. This annual collection is the food pantry's second largest of the year, behind the Post Office collection in May.

The New Berlin Food Pantry serves 30-40 families from New Berlin, Brookfield and Elm Grove each week.

Our vests read, "Rotarian At Work." We wear those whenever we are doing volunteer work. Feel free to say hello if you see us out and about.
